Train Driving School Boosts Operation and Development of Mombasa-Nairobi Railway
On September 3, 40 members of the Kenya Railway Operation and Management Training Course completed a two-day special training in Wuhan High Speed Railway Training Depot of China Railway Wuhan Group Co Ltd. This is another step taken by China Railway in exporting education and training against the background of “going global” and boosting the development of "Belt and Road".
As China's railway construction continues in Africa, the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway, Kenya's largest infrastructure project since its independence, was completed and opened to traffic on 31 May 2017. The railway links Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, with Mombasa, a port, with a total length of 480 kilometers. It is an international trunk rail line built and operated in accordance with Chinese standards.
